Nozomi and Nokia Unify OT & IoT Security for Industries Powered by Private 5G

Today, Nokia announced that Nozomi Networks is among six new Industry 4.0 applications that customers can deploy on the Nokia MX Industrial Edge (MXIE) platform. Now it’s easier than ever for industrial and critical infrastructure organizations to securely run operations and ICS across Nokia’s private 5G networks.

Nokia MX Industrial Edge – a unification platform for Industry 4.0 applications

A recent Analysys Mason report on applications and edge computing for private LTE/5G networks predicts a growing interest in private wireless use cases among enterprises. As a result, the enterprise application market is expected to expand rapidly, with investments reaching approximately $6 billion by 2030.

5G wireless connectivity plays a crucial role in this transformation, providing the robust and reliable backbone needed for data-intensive applications such as automated systems, remote operations, and AI-driven predictive maintenance.

Nokia MX Industrial Edge (MXIE) is an ecosystem-neutral unification platform for operational technology (OT) applications, supporting a wide range of Industry 4.0 use cases. MXIE can run both cloud-native and virtual machine-based applications from Nokia as well as third-party independent software vendors.

Unified OT & IoT Security for Industries Powered by Private Wireless Networks

Embedding the Nozomi Networks Guardian on Nokia’s MX Industrial Edge enables customers to gain enhanced visibility into critical processes running on their private 5G and wireless networks. By running on the MXIE, the Guardian can analyze traffic, detecting threats and vulnerabilities in devices throughout the wireless network.
